Welcome to The Fitness Studio! Where fitness is achieved through the combination of weight training, cardiovascular exercise, flexibility, nutrition and relaxation. All of these elements work together to achieve a well-balanced fitness program. Being fit is not so much about doing certain activities, as it is about living a certain lifestyle.

At The Fitness Studio, the philosophy is to teach Functional Fitness. Functional Fitness is about doing exercises that mimic the activities done in everyday life. You will not find a room full of weight machines in our studio. Most gym equipment is designed to isolate muscle groups, however, our bodies don’t move like that in everyday life. The Fitness Studio emphasizes exercises that involve bodyweight, balance and core stability. We teach exercises that utilize all your body’s stabilizing muscles while going through all the various planes of motion. We teach you exercises that move in the ways your body was meant to move.

Whether you are just starting out or you are a long-time fitness enthusiast, The Fitness Studio can customize a program that will help to get you going or help you break through that fitness plateau.

Perhaps you are bored with your current fitness program or are intimidated by the gym scene? The Fitness Studio incorporates a variety of highly effective exercises and group classes that include elements from boot camps, kickboxing, yoga, pilates, and plyometrics. The key to any successful fitness program is constantly keeping your muscles surprised and that requires consistently changing your fitness routine before your body has the chance to adapt to it.

While you may have a consistent fitness routine already, are you working out smart? Are you achieving the results you set out to achieve? While The Fitness Studio wants you to work out, we also understand that you have a life and that spending hours in a gym is not realistic (nor healthy). The Fitness Studio will teach you how to make your workouts more efficient and fun.

Don’t have time to workout? How about 30 minutes? At The Fitness Studio we can design a fitness program that will take you 30 minutes to do. If you can dedicate 30 minutes a day for only 3 days a week, you can get into fabulous shape!

At The Fitness Studio, our goal is to teach you to be as efficient with your workouts as possible. It isn’t how long you work out, it’s how smart you work out. We will teach you how to do this!

Karen Andonian- Owner, Certified Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Instructor has been a fitness enthusiast for over 20 years. She received her Certification Degree in “Sports Medicine and Human Performance” through the University of Washington.

She lives in Bellevue, WA with her husband Brad and her two daughters.
